The artistic work of Nikolai Estis is characterized by an expressive visual study of intellect and spirituality. In an oeuvre marked by seriality, he is constantly searching for means of expression for his individual world of thoughts and ideas. Alternating between abstraction and figurative tempera painting, Estis creates expressive scenes and soul landscapes that oscillate between the sacred and the secular, between the spheres of humans and the divine, between metaphysics and transcendence.
